Outage Restoration

Cooperative Continues Restoration Effort

After A&N Electric Cooperative crews worked through the night just under 150 members remain without power as of 6 a.m. due to outages associated with the coastal storm.

“Our crews did a tremendous job tracking down the cause of our outages and restoring power quickly overnight,” said Kelvin Pettit, ANEC’s Vice President of Operations. “All available crews will continue to work through today until all our outages have been addressed.”

While A&N Electric Cooperative crews will work around the clock restoring power to our members, high winds are expected to last through the night and into Saturday, hampering the cooperatives restoration effort.

As of 7 p.m. the number of members without power had risen to just over 900. The majority of outages are located in northern Accomack County, with some scattered outages in central Accomack and in Northampton County.

ANEC addressing outages throughout Eastern Shore

A&N Electric Cooperative (ANEC) continues its restoration efforts and is reporting that as of noon, about 1,600 members are without power as the coastal wind storm intensifies in our area.

“We’re monitoring the forecast for this storm and are seeing that the highest winds are beginning to develop in our area, which is translating into some higher outage numbers,” said Brian Charnock, ANEC’s Director of Operations and Construction Services. “We have all available crews, including contract crews working diligently to restore power to cooperative members.”

ANEC continues power restoration efforts during storm

A&N Electric Cooperative is reporting that as of 9:00 a.m. about 100 members were without power due to heavy winds affecting the Cooperative’s service area. This number is expected to fluctuate during the duration of the storm as crews work to restore power and high winds continue to affect portions of the cooperative's distribution system.

Scattered outages remain in some areas of Accomack County.

ANEC Crews Continue to Restore Scattered Outages

A&N Electric Cooperative (ANEC) is reporting that under 100 outages remain during our restoration efforts as of 2 p.m. The outages are scattered in both Northampton and Accomack Counties.

Drifting snow on secondary roads continues to impede our crews’ ability to reach some outages swiftly. Crews will continue making repairs until all power is restored.

“Our crews have been doing a phenomenal job restoring power to members under some harsh winter weather conditions,” said Brian Charnock, ANEC’s Director of Operations and Construction Services.
