A&N Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting is Thursday, August 24th

The A&N Electric Cooperative Annual Business Meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24 at Nandua High School’s Auditorium. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

A&N Electric is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative and its membership elects a board of directors.

As a member-owner of the cooperative, each person receiving electric service is urged to take an active part in its business by voting for its Board of Directors.

Director James N. Belote, III and Dr. Ronnie Holden are vying for the board’s District 2 seat.

Director Robert L. Nock in District 1 and Director R. Wayne Browning in District 3 also are running for re-election to the board, but are unopposed.

Look for voting proxies with your July electric bill. Members electing to vote by proxy are entered into a chance to win one of four $100 bill credits to count towards an upcoming bill. Members who would like to vote by proxy are encouraged to fill out the form and return it to A&N Electric Cooperative either by mail or at our Tasley headquarters. All proxies must be received at A&N Electric Cooperative’s Office by Aug. 21 before 4:30 p.m.

Those members electing to vote in person should attend the annual business meeting and arrive prior to 6:55 p.m. A&N Electric Cooperative staff will be present at Nandua High School at 5:30 p.m. to welcome members and to begin the process of voter registration. Voter registration ends promptly at 6:55 p.m.
