ANEC Crews Continue to Restore Scattered Outages
A&N Electric Cooperative (ANEC) is reporting that under 100 outages remain during our restoration efforts as of 2 p.m. The outages are scattered in both Northampton and Accomack Counties.
Drifting snow on secondary roads continues to impede our crews’ ability to reach some outages swiftly. Crews will continue making repairs until all power is restored.
“Our crews have been doing a phenomenal job restoring power to members under some harsh winter weather conditions,” said Brian Charnock, ANEC’s Director of Operations and Construction Services.
As the outage numbers continue to decrease, they will become more scattered and could take a little more time to resolve. Please continue to be patient as crews continue to work as quickly and safely as they can to restore electricity.
Members who have previously reported their outage, but have not yet been restored please report your outage again by using our SmartHub app or by calling 1-800-431-2632. In the event that your power goes out again, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Families who have special medical needs or elderly members should continue to closely monitor the outage situation and make alternate arrangements, if needed.
ANEC provides electric service to nearly 35,000 homes, farms and businesses in Accomack and Northampton Counties in Virginia and Somerset County, Maryland. For more information, visit www.anec.com.
